Jeremy Jensen is the creator, and owner of Grassroots Powdersurfing, here is an insert from his website-
Grassroots powdersurfing is the brain-child of Jeremy Jensen, who has invested over 14 years into developing a form of powder riding that is completely binding-free. Borrowing technology and inspiration from snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing, Grassroots has created the ultimate backcountry powder tool. We took a step back to the roots of snowboarding, to make a new leap forward in an avenue of progression that had yet to be explored. The result is an entirely pure form of self-expression that pays tribute to the early intentions of snowboarding and embraces the progression of modern surfing and skateboarding. Our goal was to give something back to the world of board sports that has given us so much over the years. We created a board that allows us to do things previously unthinkable on any “snowboard” in existence. We felt that we had developed something truly unique and we chose to call it “Powdersurfing” or “powsurfing” for short.

Where do you prefer to ride?
"I try my best to skate everything possible. Large open fields and snowmobile trails are two of my favorite places to snowskate!"
Choice of beer?
"Yes, my favorite has been Arrogant Bastard Ale by Stone Brewing Co."
"I love beer. Especially heavier malty beers. Deschutes is the beer of the month at CPL right now so I'm really putting back their black butte porter."
Stories to share?
"Flies buzzed drunkenly through the corridor, Filth caked hands reached up from the distant darkness as if they were souls attempting to escape illusive demons holding them down. A dark figure appeared from the furthest reach of restricted peripherals, His presence alone instilled fear. Another being sat at the opposite side of the spectrum. From that beings hands grew pines and through the eyes shined light. This light is to be cast over those trying to see into their own darkness so they can realize they themselves must become the light in order to understand the shadows in which other spectrum fail to color in. When I gained conciseness the two were laughing and sharing stories, they seemed to be old friends that hadn't had the pleasure in a long while, but as I started to make out some words, their conversation ended. (Silence) The shining being looked almost hopeful. As if he had just heard that his of age son was finally doing something right in his life, but the shaded being, too, had a look of hope, though their looks were not the same. This shaded hope was rooted with disdain. Designed in Guilt and hate. Determined to see another fail. They both smiled as I noticed this. The lights flashed blindingly, my eyes closed, something bashed my head, I fell to the floor. My eyes slowly opened and I seemed to be in the same place, only it was much different. The corridor was fully lit, a shined bathroom sign swung from two 3 link chains fixed to the ceiling, little cupid statuettes lined the walls to the distant corners of the room, The places where both beings had been sitting were unoccupied and it seemed as though I had never fallen to the floor. The Bathroom door seemed to push itself open to make way for this beautiful girl. She was graced with Extravagantly detailed cosmic eyes, Luscious blonde hair to compliment her royal looking cheek bones and petite-ly framed hips that swayed as if to a hidden rhythm. Tight clothing gracefully outlined her curves without revealing too much. She subtly danced over, sat between the two previously occupied spaces, and blushed. (smiles) A fly buzzed in through the open window and landed on her shoulder."

Tell us a story:
"It was probably 1999, me and a couple friends went to a snowskate contest at a nearby hill in our area we got there to find tiny little boxes and rails set up at the bottom of the snowboard park so we hiked up and started hitting the snowboard features and people were amazed and I think we might have gotten in shit cause the people throwing the contest were scared we could get hurt, also I hit a car with my car on the way in, then parked right beside them."
